7th ABSL Conference in Katowice

event-factory delivered a comprehensive production of the major event in the business services industry in Central and Eastern Europe, which took place on 28-29 June 2016 in Katowice and gathered almost 1,000 participants as well as prominent speakers, including Condoleezza Rice, the 66th Secretary of State.


ABSL - Association of Business Service Leaders is an organization representing modern business services industry in Poland. In this sector, Poland is an unquestionable European leader, ranking 3rd in the world. Modern business services generate the most workplaces across the private sector. Operating through almost 700 participating centres, ABSL employs close to 200,000 people in over 180o global companies, such as: Accenture, Arvato Services, Capgemini, Carlsberg, Geoban, Google, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Infosys, JLL, Luxoft, MAN, Procter & Gamble, PwC, Shell, Sony, Thomson Reuters, UBS, Xerox and Citybank.

For the last 7 years, the annual ABSL Conference has been the broadest platform to exchange experience, knowledge and contacts within the business service industry. The 2016  gig entitled “Transforming ourselves, changing the world" took place in Katowice on 28-29 June and gathered almost 1,000 participants. The main events were organized in the futurist space of the International Centre, the new seat of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Silesian Museum. The highlight of the 2016 agenda was the keynote speech by Condoleezza Rice, the 66th Secretary of State. The two-day Conference was also attended by influential political and business figures and local administration representatives, including Mateusz Morawiecki, Poland’s deputy PM and Minister of Development and Finance, ,Aruna Jayanthi  (CEO, Capgemini),  Hannes Apitzsch (CEO Global Services, Siemens AG), Kerry Hallard (CEO National Outsourcing Association Director, European Outsourcing Association), Sean Kracklauer (President Advisory Services and Research, The Hackett Group), Katarzyna Zawodna (President of the Management Board  at Skanska Commercial Development Europe) and many others.
